Hello all, I am excited about a project that I am doing here, I know crazy, anyway during this month I am going to share favorite gratitude quotes, lists of what I am grateful for, and more. It is going to be all about gratitude, Wendy style.
Today's gratitude token is a favorite quote--
this makes me think of people who have paved the way for me, for women and mothers, for all that is good. I think of my mom and her oldest sister Virgie. They came from nothing and achieved greatness in their own regard. Because of their determination and stamina I have had the many opportunities, once of which was to go college.
My mom taught herself how to take care of a home, how to cook for a family, how to nurture her children. I have also learned how destructive people can be to others. As the poor family in town my mom and her siblings were teased and left out of many activities in their small town. They still talk about some of the mean people who treated them horribly just because they came from a poor family and lived in a shack.
On the other side they remember those who cared for them regardless of their circumstances, and try to treat others with acceptance.
Which brings me to today's gratitude token
