Wow, I have been immersed in family life completely! It is so wonderful to have Taylor home. I cann't describe the emotions, other than to say I am so PROUD of him!! I have taken a handful of photos that you can see below. As for what we are doing now, he is getting ready to start school in the fall, watching movies from the last two years, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing.
Here is a video of Taylor seeing Tiger (his cute pet dog) for the first time.
As a way of documenting and celebrating the countdown until Taylor returns I have been sharing some photos, layouts, and memories of Tay. As I have been looking at stuff I created I thought it would be fun to share some favorite boy pages. (not just about Tay)
Taylor has always been drawn to art and culture. We have that in common, of course. He has gotten to
meet people from so many different countries and has been able to get a taste of many different cultures while serving as a full-time missionary. I can't wait to learn all about these experinces. I can hardly wait at all, in fact I can't sleep I am so excited!!
My oldest son has been serving a LDS mission since July 28, 2010 and that means we have NOT SEEN him since then. We have stayed in touch with weekly letters and a handful of phone calls. I am unable to articulate how EXCITED I am to see him!!!! In preparation I am writing and sharing some favorite photos and stories of him. (Hey I am a scrapbooker)
What a crazy emotional few weeks it has been. Justin entered the MTC Wednesday where he will study the Cebuano language for eight weeks then he will head over to Cebu, Philippines.
I have been scanning and uploading photos in an attempt to do some archiving, and oh wow, it has been interesting to look back.
Check out my serious big permed hair! Yes it was the 80's and that is how we did things. These photos are all from my college days. (isn't my sister Laurie so cute?)
