Time to get it CUT!

Yeah- I am getting my hair cut today with pals Megan and Angie

We started this over a year ago, read about it here

Finally, I have not enjoyed long hair at all, not even remotely

We are all doing it together-- I will post pics this weekend of my new short hair

I have my appointment next week...but I actually have to hype myself up to cut my hair and donate it because I LOVE my long hair. I just have to think about someone else loving it even more. This will be my second time donating-it is very exciting and very scary for me all at the same time! I know its just hair and it grows back-but its also a big part of me and comforting that I know its there and can just pull it back when I need to. Anyways, good luck with your cut!!

I can't wait to see your new cut! I was surprised at how long it was when I last saw you at Dicks. I had forgotten that you were doing this. Very cool!

What a wonderful thing you three did. My daughter and I did the same thing - only ours got cut last October. She was 11 yrs old at the time. She wants to do it again but I'm not so sure I can "grow-long" with her. Although it was terribly convenient for me to just pull it back I'm not sure I could handle it that long again. As I get older my hair is thinning and that long, thin look is definitely not flattering to me. I'm encouraging my daughter to get a few friends to join her. And while she and her friends grow out their hair I'll continue my regular donation of platelets at the blood center - my contribution to those undergoing chemo. treatment.
