the start of the giving thanks blog hop week

My first share this week is a website that you sign up to visit daily or weekly and list what makes you happy or what you are thankful for. This is a great tool for reminding yourself to be positive. I will be posting a project later on and some more fun things through the week. This will help you remember what you are grateful for and that is a good thing.

I am grateful for libraries. I love to read and could never afford to purchase all the books I read or want to read someday. The library is heaven for me. I am thankful for my library card.

quick creative project, quote block

that I made this weekend.

A few years ago at the thrift store I purchased a 12 x 12 piece of wood with routed edges (sp?) that had a vinyl saying. I left it up for a while and then decided to do something personal.

Found a favorite quote that I want my kids to read over and over again, printed it out using Centabel book font and found some home decor-ish patterned paper and assembled it all while watching the latest episode of Project Runway.

as you can see I fussy cut the flowers with my Exacto in order to layer the patterned paper over the quote, and I added a bit of glitter with stickles, so fun.
